About the event
Haiti's history from the Tainos to 1804 is a rich tapestry of colonization, slavery, revolution, and independence. The show thoughtfully addresses these themes by presenting choreographies within those specific contexts. Actors, dancers, set design, costumes, and more come together in perfect harmony to transport the audience on a journey through time.
The audience witnesses all the pivotal moments leading to the formation of the free nation: the unity movement among the slaves, the revolution, the renowned victory, and the creation of the flag.
